"We had a fantastic stay! The property was peaceful, private, and exactly the kind of outdoor getaway our family was looking for. Our kids loved fishing in the bass pond (our 7-year-old caught her first fish on her second cast!), and we enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful acreage, and proximity to the PA Grand Canyon area. The owners were great to work with and made us feel very welcome. We’d definitely stay here again."

"My family had a great 5 nights at Bear Trail Lodge. Check in was very easy, it was clean, beautiful inside and out. The scenery was incredible, my kids drive down to Prouty Park which was about a 5 minute drive to do some hiking. The pond on the property has little sunny’s which were biting nonstop. We weren’t sure where to go for fishing otherwise. The closest convenience store was about 1/2 hour away, so make sure you bring everything you need. All the necessities were provided and it was nice having a washer and dryer. I 100% would recommend BTL to everyone and hopefully we’ll be back!"

"This place was perfect for a family of 5 adults and our pup. We loved the back yard view and fire pit. We enjoyed being able to spend our mornings on the deck overlooking the creek. We were concerned about the window unit ac units not being enough, but we were pleasantly surprised (as long as you don't close the bedroom door like my girls did). Everything we needed was there and made life easier. My only suggestion would be to take wheels off the master bed. I leaned against the bed to put my socks on and whoops...Definitely would recommend and would stay again."

"Really enjoyed our stay close to to stargazing at Cherry Hill spring Cherry springs State Park went tubing down. Tying gorge Creek went hiking Pennsylvania Grand canyon. All in all a great little vacation"

"Beautiful home with up to date amenities nestled next to the creek, what a great way to relax! My favorite part was doing nothing. The black sky, the silence, very welcomed. The highlight on our last night was a big black bear in the yard! Would highly recommend!"

"I highly recommend staying at the Mountain Vista Chalet. I visited with my 2 nephews for the purpose of star gazing. Although the Mountain Vista Chalet is only a few minutes from Cherry Springs Park, the view of the stars from the Mountain Vista Chalet deck was so good that we never went to the park. The accommodations were clean, modern and spacious and views from the deck, even during the day when we weren't star gazing were awesome. The hosts, Ben and Thanh, communicated, in a timely and detailed guidebook, everything we needed for our stay. Also, we ran into an issue with our car on the check-out day (a flat tire) which delayed our check-out past the required time, and Ben and Thanh graciously allowed us the time we needed to get the tire fixed before we checked out. I highly recommend this place and if I ever come back to the area for star gazing, the Mountain Vista Chalet will be my choice for the place to stay!"

"This beautiful place is a great location for all. Doesn't matter what you do, it's a nice place to get away and breathe in the fresh air. There's plenty of attractions to chase after if you're an outdoor enthusiast. There are a number state parks in the area if you enjoy visiting those locations. We've spent many years on Kettle Creek, which was our go to for the weekend when we were staying at the lodge. You have everything you need to stay here. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are spacious, plenty of room on the first floor at the kitchen/living room area. Porch is a perfect size to just simply hang out. We stored a bunch of items on the porch for the kiddos which made it convenient for them. Always good to have plenty of room when you go on vacation with your friends and family! Josh communicated well with us which is a plus. If you're thinking about staying here, then go for it! You have to experience it for yourself. We'll be returning again!"
