This property is in a beautiful garden setting. The apartment is lovely! It’s spotless, comfortable with lots of room and sunlight. Our hosts were great! They met any need we had and were warm and friendly. Loved the home made cookies! We will stay there again when in the area.
This property was everything it was advertised to be. Quiet with gorgeous views, it was the perfect place to get away for a few days. Thanks John and Julia, I can’t wait to come back!
Loved my 5-night stay at this charming property. Wonderful, helpful hosts who went above and beyond accommodating a few special requests. The gardens and view of the water are so serene. It was the perfect spot to relax and quietly unwind after 4 busy days. Comfortable bed, soft towels, terrific shower, and kitchen area that worked great for my purposes. A wonderful experience--
Absolutely enjoyed my stay. The location was ideal for my time visiting my mom who lives downtown Olympia. Only a 10 minute drive lined with beautiful trees and the sound. Greeted with delicious cookies and a welcoming check in. The property and area is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The apartment was cozy and quiet. I will stay here again when I return for my next visit. Thank you!
Our long weekend at this property was great! Great size for 2 people, comfortable bed, kitchen had everything we needed and the plants outside were blooming making it just beautiful with the water view. The location is only 10 minutes from Olympia so easy to get everywhere yet felt like we were in the country. The hosts were nothing short of terrific!
The property is a short walk from the Sound with a nice view. It was clean and the perfect size for the two of us. The host gave us ideas on where to go and what to do. The communication was prompt, and the cookies were delicious! We truly enjoyed our time there and recommend this property!
Beautiful area with neighborhood restaurants a walk away. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped, and owners were friendly. The yard is filled with flowers, 2 fawns visiting from the abutting woods wanted the lilies.
The property was very pleasant, clean, with thoughtful touches. The owner was very thorough with detailed orientation to the site. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to change housing locations after the first night. Although communication was good with the owners about this, I was disappointed that I was only reimbursed $100 out of $669.13 that I paid for four nights. I would have hoped that hosts and VRBO would have more compassionate and humanistic responses to peoples' individual circumstances.
Everything you need for a weekend getaway. Beautiful property and friendly owners. We were welcomed with fresh baked cookies and departed with an awesome breakfast of quiche and homemade bread. It made us feel like we were at home. Lots of fun things to do in the area.

First off the owner not manager meets you outside with cookies which was nice and delicious, but then walks you into the apartment and spends 20 minutes explaining the dos and don'ts as well as all things to do and not do in the area. I feel the information provided was a bit misleading on the listing, I searched for a romantic getaway. This is an apartment above the garage at someones home. The
private deck looks at the home of the owner. there is a walking path that seperates the house from the garage. The homeowner was there the whole time. The beach is private and farmed for clams. So no proper access for the public. The bed is very outdated. It felt like we were laying on springs and could feel every movement. There is only a TV in the bedroom. It is right on the corner and can hear traffic. The fire pit in not welcoming to use. There was a strange high pitch sound that went off both at 4am and 5pm. Having issues with large ants, had to kill several. I have very sensitive skin to fragrances, there were 2 smellies in the bathroom that caused the toilet paper to take on that smell and caused me major discomfort to the point that we left a day early knowing it was non-refundable. The fabric softener was so strong that our pillows smelled like it once home. This would be a good stay for a passing through maybe for one night, but not our ideal for a few nights getaway.
From check-in (greeted with a plate of cookies) to check-out, our stay was fabulous! John and Julia have created a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere, with attention to detail. We especially loved sitting on the deck with a view of the sound and exploring areas around Olympia. Great place to stay!
The hosts were wonderful, the property clean and comfortable. I was in town for work related reasons and really appreciated the wifi, desk, and ample kitchen table. I sat on the deck while working in the evening and enjoyed the view, the breeze, the gentle splashing of the fountains, and the lovely flowerbeds. This property is on my list of places to revisit!
And so many bigger extras. The most comfortable bed. All of the kitchen and bathroom extras. They even got permission from us to enter and open the windows one very hot after noon.
Bring your slippers. The hard wood floor needs to be protected.
John and Julia are the best.
Beautiful natural environment -,surrounded by colorful flowers, fountains of running water and scenic views of Mt Rainier and Eld Inlet. An upstairs apartment with its own balcony & views.
