"I hate leaving negative info but for the benefit of future travelers, I have to be honest about a few items with this property: 1. It was absolutely buzzing with flies inside. There was spray and a fly swatter inside which indicates this must be a known issue to the property manager. It made our short stay very uncomfortable. 2. This is not a hot tub, it is a swedish bath. The history and charm of the Chateau could quickly be felt upon arrival and did not disappoint for the rest of our stay! The grounds were well manicured and blooming beautifully at this time of the year. I highly recommend a romantic weekend getaway for two using the spa facilities if ever in the area! "

"Great breakfast. Dinner expensive. The hotel has been undergoing renovations since 2024 and there is still a fair bit to do. Because of scaffolding a lot of the balconies and windows are locked shut. There is no air conditioning. Luckily we changed to a room that had opening windows and balcony. The indoor spa areas were closed but the 2outdoor thermal pools were great.The hotel has lovely tall domed ceilings and will be fabulous once finished. A lot of the bedrooms still need decorating and I don’t think there are plans for air conditioning which could be a problem in the summer.We had a great couple of days but would check state of rooms and amenities before booking."
