The motel is lovely and charming. I love the retro vibe and themed rooms. The owners are so nice and even provided s’mores at the fire pit on the pretty lawn. Loved their beach as well and got to see a bit of the northern lights!

The place is charming and clean, the owners were kind, friendly and helpful. There is beach access right across the road and they even made the path more fun with a fairy home! The pricing was reasonable too!

We had the best experience at Sunshine. The owners are very hospitalable. Perfect location close to the downtown for food and drink, centerally located to southern attractions and the Porcupine Mountains State Park. We would stay again!

Such a cute place! Wish I’d stayed more nights. I was in the “wolf room”! Bedspread, clock, pictures all of wolves. Great bonfire at night. Loved the beach access for sunset. Owners felt like family.

The rooms were so cute and homey. The bathroom was clean and the tubs looked brand new. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I regret only staying for one night in the area. I could have easily spent the whole week there. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Everything clean, staff/owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful and they had a great common area outside with tables, grills, firepit etc. We will stay here again and we have told others about this place.

The motel was adorable. Only 1/2 block from the shore line of Lake Superior with private access. Community outdoor area was very nice. Rooms were cute. Clean. Well stocked. The staff(owner) was wonderful and very helpful with suggestions for adventures and eating out.Highly recommend visiting the UP and Porcupine Mountain.

Great place to stay and was in just the right location for me. The beach access was the icing on the cake. Would also like to mention the neat little cottages or motel style rooms were really cheerfull with their yellow trim. And finally I have to bring up the fact there was a actual shower curtain liner in the shower. I could not tell you when the last time I seen one of them actually being used. The place I'm at now doesn't.
