"What a lovely place to stay! We usually stay in Kona but we’re hoping to see some Volcano action so chose to stay a couple of nights closer to Hilo. Now I wish we had stayed here the whole time. Yes you hear the frogs but with the windows closed you barely hear them. It’s a very green, beautiful property. So nice to sit on the lanai and enjoy the surroundings. The hosts left a tasty variety of local fruit and the delicious banana bread. You have access to water and ice too. We would definitely stay there again. "

"My husband and I had the most enjoyable stay at the Huilili Farm. The Pineapple cottage was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Both the inside bed and the outside hanging bed were super comfy. It took a lot of will power to get out of the hanging bed on the lanai to go sightseeing. We enjoyed visiting Akaka Falls and the town of Honomu and its eateries, as well as the Hakalau trail (if you are concerned about bugs—mosquito repellent was effective). The lychees and stargazing at night were just two of many memorable highlights. Thank you, Todd and Madeleine, for sharing the farm and for the most relaxing getaway ever!"

"This place is surrounded by nature. It’s a glamping experience as you are surrounded by the waterfall and various animals. You can even swim in the waterfall. They have 2 restrooms and showers, kitchen, dining, and tv about 20 feet from your sleeping area shared by guests from 3 lodges. They clean the restrooms and kitchen area daily. "

"There are a lot of reviews on this house…and all are really good. Well, you can believe what everyone has said. The house, with full ocean views, was absolutely beautiful. Large picture window and sliding glass door provide a 180 view of the ocean. Surfers start at daybreak and entertain til nightfall. Three full bedrooms with each having a private bath. All three are so nice, I’m not even sure which to call the Main Bedroom. Wonderful kitchen with everything you need from silverware to dinnerware, several coffee machines… well, too much to list actually. There are two wood decks that face the ocean and a very large tiled lanai. One deck has a table and chairs with the lanai having its own table and chairs with separate comfy lounge chairs. There is so much to say about this place that this review could go on as a short novel. But, I’ll stop there with this - this is the nicest VRBO that we have ever rented. Do yourself a favor and book this place if you are looking to visit Hilo."
