When I said something to the desk clerk, she offered a lame excuse - she said that some laptops just don't connect very well, but phones do connect well. That was wrong, neither device would connect. When I checked out, I mentioned it to a different clerk, who apologized. The water in the shower kept cycling between too cold and too hot."

"Steigenberger Esplanade is exceptional. The room was perfect, breakfast superior, and the hostess at breakfast was delightful. Everybody was friendly and helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself couldn't be in a better location. It's within walking distance to the town square all the local restaurants and pubs, and some great shopping! Parking is in the garage and there is always parking available! Do yourself a favor and spoil yourself with a stay at Steigenberger Esplanade Jena. It's definitely it!"
