"Great get away, remote yet within easy reach of Nevada City and Grass Valley. Was a wonderful place for our post-thanksgiving family retreat (7 people, ages 17-83 plus dogs) where we bonded with lots of good conversation in the lovely house which is well designed with open spaces. Secure gated area for dogs which is very nice. Lovely property to stroll around. Recommend day trip to Empire Mine and to Nevada City. Overall, a terrific visit"

"The location near the Cascade Canal Trail and the proximity to town are two great reasons to stay, but the house is just so comfortable! Beautiful views from every window. Large, nicely designed and well appointed kitchen and each living area a place to mingle and share time with family and friends. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The owners thought of everything. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!!!"

"Great place to stay tucked away in the woods. Close to Nevada City and Grass Valley, which made dinner and shopping very accessible. Hiking spots in all directions. We wished we were able to take advantage of the huge deck and fire pit, but it rained hard all day the first whole day we were there. We would love to come back again. Great communication with the host as well. Would love to stay here again to take full advantage of all the amenities next time."
