"We loved the interesting art throughout the hotel, including photographs, paintings, and a piece made from all silver crayons. Free happy hour from 5-6 featured local cider and ale. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Food truck park with many options nearby. Walk to Powell’s and pick up a couple books! No breakfast, but coffee and tea available. Valet was pricey."

"The good: The bed is low and a little firm, relatively comfortable. I’m short so I liked it low. Pillows were perfect for me, soft and squishable. The king bed had 2 twin sheet/comforter things. Water pressure was good and the water stayed hot. The tub (in 223 at least) actually worked! The location is fantastic and quiet. The bad: The tv didn’t work as far as a channel or to cast my phone. I was told it was the whole place and they were working with the provider. The mini fridge didn’t work well. Small room and no fan or vent in the bathroom. Not enough towels, no washcloths. Charger stand’s usb-a ports didn’t work. Coffee machine in the room was inefficient and extremely messy, also doesn’t work well with the pineapple mugs. No creamer. No ice machine so we went down to the front desk for ice. No bottle opener for the complimentary beer (beach beer tastes like coors light). Men’s restroom in the lobby/restaurant was unpleasant and smelled awful. Sinks in the public restroom are set way back against the wall and have a lip of probably a foot- there is no way a wheelchair user could use them. Staff: check-in was super easy and the person at the desk was very kind. When I informed them about the tv, they explained and removed my amenities fee. They also very kindly and quickly provided ice. Check out, I thought was going to be a problem, but the person at the desk apologized for seeming to ignore me and addressed the other problems I reported & they comped my parking."

"Parking via valet is only real option. This is a deal breaker for me as it limits your car availability to a set start and end time each day. Breakfast was okay, but not great. Only 2 coffee spots made it very hard to get coffee."

"The hotel is gorgeous,BUT I’m not sure who is helping them with design? The lighting in this place is awful. It’s white fluorescent lights. Here’s this beautiful lobby that could make you feel like a star in the twenties, instead you look like a pasty faced troll and the urge to leave is strong. WARM LIGHTS, would make this hotel first class. Even the lighting in their ball room is atrocious. A bride would look sickly under those lights. Too bad, as it’s gorgeous. Put warm lights in the chandeliers and keep the surrounding lights white. This really takes the hotel down a star. Service is amazing. The rooms are clean and mine was large for the price. Unfortunately, the beds are hard as rocks. I found myself having to take ibuprofen after my second day. Others complained about this to me as well. I left my 3 day stay very sore. "
