We originally saw the reviews and thought how can they be so good, but now understand why. The property was beautiful, clean, quiet and authentic. The owners were lovely. Also, front desk was not knowledgeable about surroundings and when asked to stay 1 hour more in our checkout, they asked to charge 35 euros; I travel a lot and never was charge for 1 hour late checkout. "Super easy to take the airport shuttle-- text or call the hotel to tell them you are coming, and go to Arrivals area 10. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff. Sweet hotel bar with small terrace. Breakfast served starting from five AM -- totally unheard of in Italy! I would not stay anywhere else. And yes, it is out of town-- as are ALL the airport hotels. It's no different from Paris, New York, Toronto, Rome, or any large city, and the train into Milan from the airport and back is simple and inexpensive."
