"The room and the hotel were very clean and welcoming. We loved the spaciousness of our room as it was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet have a nice selection of food, which was very tasty. One of the staff members that we came in contact with starting with the front desk down to passing the housekeepers in the hallway where very friendly and professional. Chasity was particularly helpful in navigating part of our trip. Thank you again for a wonderful day and should we be in Virginia in the future we will definitely be staying at your hotel. We were grateful for your hospitality."

"We stayed in the Gander for our first wedding annivery! This property was beautiful (but needed landscaping, the view was largely blocked by invasive plants), the amenities (hot tub, kayaks, cornhole boards, etc) were thoughtful, and the hosts were communicative and helpful. It stormed for a lot of our weekend but we LOVED our evenings on the covered porch in the rocking chairs. The ac units worked very well and the whole place was clean. However, at almost 700 for three nights, I think this cabin was lacking in comfort. The beds were hard, the pillows were incredibly thin, and the couch could use replacing. There were no throw blankets or pillows, soft lighting in the main spaces, etc to make the space feel more cozy and welcoming. I think it'd make a world of difference to upgrade the bedding and add some little touches here and there, without losing the rustic charm, but I certainly *would* recommend this cabin to a friend after those changes were made."

"The house and property were wonderful. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. There were clean linens, towels,basic cleaning supplies, china and cutlery all provided. The location was perfect, about 10 minutes from a nice central town with things to do and easy accessibility. The hot tub was very relaxing on a quiet night and the house stayed chilled and dark during the middle of July. The host, Kristen, was excellent and very responsive to any inquires and went out of her way to help address a billing issue.I cannot recommend this host and property enough."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. While the rooms are not particularly fancy, they are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. We found the on-site restaurant to be a great addition with reasonably priced food and very attentive, helpful staff. However, there are a few things future guests should keep in mind regarding late-night amenities. The restaurant closes quite early, and there are no vending machines or microwaves available for guest use. This meant that when we returned from exploring, we had to drive back into town for dinner, which was challenging du"

"We loved the area and the cabin. Hot tub was nice! The towels were damp in the bathroom and some mold in the shower. We didn’t realize there were several cabins so close. Overall it was a clean cute cabin and the host was friendly and communicated all the details quickly and efficiently."
