You can’t beat the location (as long as you’re okay staying next to major power lines). Easy to get to lots of places - Skaket, Nauset, coffee, ice cream, restaurants, Wellfleet, Chatham, etc! The house was great for a family vacation, especially with two king sized beds! We’ll definitely consider going back for our next cape cod vacation!

Reviewer Comments:
Orleans was a wonderful location - away from the intensely trafficked coast towns, right between the bay side and ocean side, and near the National Seashore. The description of amenities was a bit light - the property was better equipped than described. We were really pleased with the large, enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water, the availability of a coffee maker and charcoal grill, the nicely landscaped yard and comfortable deck and the close proximity to a delightful pond which was just right for our toddler grandson. The house was very clean and comfortable with several rooms in which to relax and large bedrooms with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well suppplied which was appreciated. This was the first time we rented at a resort-oriented location and were surprised that the linens were an added charge. Two rooms had king beds for which we couldn't provide sheets so we would have had to rent those, but next time, we will provide all the other linens as we found the rented ones lacking. Paper products were also lacking at the house- certainly undersupplied for a family of 5 for a week - so we had to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as well as provide hand washing soap. Maybe this is standard at the Cape, but we have never run into this issue in other parts of the country. One dishtowel for a week is not sufficient. But those minor inconveniences would not dissuade us from renting again or recommending this house, just that we would prepare differently for the stay.
