I stumbled upon Chayote Lodge during my search of hotels in Costa Rica. Nice place, convenient Rooms with fridge, coffemaker, microwave, kitchenet and all the things necessary for cooking. Recomendation: if you have a car it can be easier 'cause you have several supermarkets and restaurants near there ( 2 km or less) but if; not try to have some things to cook before due to by walking/uber/bus could be complicated. We stopped here one night as part of a longer road trip. The room was comfortable - great AC and shower and the Wifi was great. Beds are double not queen so a little small. The pool area was nice but needed a little cleaning up. We didn’t have breakfast as we left before it was available at 7.30am.

From the first interaction with Steven in reception (complimentary glass of wine upon arrival), to their willingness to help. Great experience ! Dave ,Marsha, Elezar and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable ,and everything was taken care of. I have been here for a month and will be happily extending my stay another month. Ronald and his wife have been exemplary hosts! She is a charming lady who makes delicious breakfasts and does my laundry as necessary for a very reasonable rate. Ronald goes out of his way to make his guests stay a memorable experience. Very nice hotel on Herradura Beach.The hotel and the people are very good.The swimming poll is the best atracttion.But the hotel is boring,are not enough activities if you dont go on tour or practice golf.The food is very expensive in all restaurants inside and in the Marina.A big supermarket is about 500 meters from the hotel.Jaco town is about 10 minutes.

We stayed here last year on our trip to Costa Rica. Last year, the young woman who works the front desk was extremely helpful to us, so we came back this year. Oh my goodness staying in the bus was so incredible! So beautifully painted! As an artist/musican, this place had such good creative energy that lit my soul up even more! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was amazingly clean and well kept....no carpet anywhere thank goodness. The pool was kept pristine and had direct sunlight until about 2pm. One of the best parts was the free breakfast....it was made to order and delicious. I recommend the omelette plate. :) If you are active, the walking distance to the main beach road was definitely walkable. Awesome stay and would definitely recommend. One caveat....you want to have overnight...
