2 BR. cabin w/ 150' lakeshore on Big Stone Lake. Property has gorgeous views!

This 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on a large lake lot is 8 miles NW. of Ortonville on the Minnesota side of Big Stone Lake, (Big Stone is well known as a premiere perch and walleye lake.) This property features accessible lakeshore to pull a boat up, and a 36' long dock to tie up your boat or pontoon. Great spot for family, friends, or travel enthusiasts to enjoy a fishing trip. Or maybe your preference is fun and fellowship, playing horseshoes and yard games, while simultaneously taking in the panoramic lake views, as you watch birds and wildlife going up and down the lake!
This property has a large yard to enjoy outdoor games of all sorts. Plenty of room for parking and lots of room for your boat trailer too.
Using the LP grill to sear some fresh fish out on the deck for lunch is a treat, and if that rainy day arrives, you can retreat to the lakeside gazebo and break out the card games.
There are 3 restaurants on Big Stone Lake that all serve dinner that you can boat to after a day on the lake also.
Nighttime enjoy a crackling fire and beverage while stargazing or taking in moon reflections on the water.
For the hiker in the family, check out nearly 3.5 miles of paths meandering through prairie country at Big Stone state park, which is just a 1/2 mile away.

Perfect Getaway

This is a gem! It is the perfect relaxation spot. Quiet and remote. So many fish jumping, turtles spotted, and many types of birds flying around. Even at the entrance we had deer and several turkey that had made an appearance.

Great Family Vacation Cabin

This was a great cabin for the kids and I to stay at. Super clean and very comfortable. The lake was great and so was the fishing. Property owner, John, was very friendly and kept up with great communication. Will definitely stay again if it works

Nice weekend getaway

Property was exactly as described. The gazebo was great for family game night. Beds were comfy and wifi was a plus for the kids when they were not fishing. Plenty of yard for outdoor games. Fireput by the water was a nice touch, would stay here again

Wonderful Quiet Home

Exceptionally clean, quiet home on the lake. Caught many fish off the dock, only a short drive to the boat ramp. Home was comfortable with all amenities available. Owner was very friendly and ensured all needs were met. Perfect for a couple or small group.

Nice little get away

This was the perfect get away. Lot's of fishing off the dock. We were able to land our boat just a few miles away. The gazebo was a hit for card games at night and the firepit was perfect down by the lake. The cabin was clean and cpzy.

Big Stone Lake weekend

The cabin is more spacious inside than it appears from the outside. The fishing was good, the guys caught a variety. The kitchen was pretty well supplied and the counter space was super for spreading out the meals. There isn’t a sandy beach but it wasn’t difficult to launch our kayaks. John is an excellent host.

Peaceful and fully stocked Big Stone cabin

We arrived to a clean cabin, stocked with all kitchen and bath necessities. All we needed was our own food and clothes. The WiFi was awesome, the Roku tv allowed us to log in to our streaming apps from home, and the central air was so nice during our hot stay. The dock had electric for plugging in a trolling motor, and there was an aerated minnow tank on site. The addition of the fish cleaning station was appreciated as well. The owner was very receptive to any needs we had during our stay. Great place to stay, you won’t be disappointed!! .
