Hotel Müller Hohenschwangau

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect location, right by the Neuschwanstein bus and carriage stops and the path up to Hohenschwangau castle, and a very short walk to the lake. Lovely restaurant - we booked a table through reception and had a table looking up at the castle. Our room was very quiet. The only slight downside was no aircon so the room was very warm (a fan was provided). Staff were very helpful. There was a small car park for guests - we arrived relatively early so didn't have any issues getting a space although there weren't enough spaces for all guests. The main town car park was nearby though. We'd highly recommend this hotel."

Hotel Sonne

"This was a very modern, chic and trendy hotel. Very clean and the location was great. We were traveling with our family and the bathroom was a little challenging because there are no doors to the bathroom or shower. The shower drain clogged, and because there is no lip in the shower, water went all over the bathroom (but the staff cleaned it up quickly). I think this was the market rate for other hotels in Fussen, but it was expensive, and breakfast and parking wasn’t included. Maybe just not the right fit for our family, but a couple looking for a fun getaway it would be awesome."

"Amazing location, the food at the restaurant is incredible, the breakfast buffet is a great value for a large selection of food. BUT not all of the rooms have A/C, and if you are going in the summer, you MUST make sure that you book a room with A/C. The hotel lent us a fan to use in our room but honestly it didn’t help. We were unbearably hot in our room. We slept with the windows wide open and it was noisy out on the street late into the night, and then started again at 5am. We barely slept during our 4 nights there. But if you can lock in a room with A/C, this is a great hotel."

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Everything was spotless, and all the facilities were in top condition. As someone who likes to work out while travelling, I found the gym to be surprisingly well-equipped. The breakfast had a good variety, and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. Would definitely stay here again!"

Villa Fantasia Budget Boutique Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Jennifer, our host was amazing helpful. We didn’t have an option to come near check in time as we had to catch the only train going to Fussen from Munich early in the morning. Jennifer helped store our luggage and checked us in an hour earlier than normal check in time. She also went out of her way to hand deliver the Fussen Passes the next morning since those were overlooked during check in time. The room and hotel were tastefully decorated and very clean, so clean that I didn’t even feel the need to sanitize all of the room surfaces which I have done since COVID in every hotel room we’ve ever rented. We knew that they did not have laundering facilities, but It would be so helpful if they looked into installing a washer/dryer on site for future customers. They did have an iron downstairs but it was available during times that we had activities booked so we were unable to use it. The staff were super friendly, hard working and available during limited hours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider staying in a larger room next time. It was close to attractions and train and bus stations. Thanks Villa Fantasia staff, especially, Jennifer!"
