Mountain Escape - Trout Lake Waterfront, Adirondack Park Area
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay — the house was beautiful, spotless, and well maintained. The view was stunning, and we loved all of the activities available nearby. It was a great place to relax and unwind. The host was fantastic. He responded very quickly and kindly accommodated both an early check in, and late check out for us at no additional cost. The only downside was that the loose dog from the neighboring cabin kept coming onto our property throughout the stay and reacting negatively towards us. We were traveling with our two dogs, and it created a few uncomfortable moments where we had to leave the area quickly to avoid any negative interactions. It would be helpful if the neighboring property secured their dog to ensure all guests (and pets) can enjoy the space peacefully.Overall, it’s a wonderful home in a gorgeous location — we just hope this small issue is addressed for future guests."
Adirondack Area Trout Lake Waterfront Cottage, Hot Tub, Pontoon Boat, Upstate NY
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was exactly what we were looking for during our Fall stay for rest and relaxing. The views every morning and evening were gorgeous. We love that the cabin is pet friendly so our dogs could join us for the week. We used the hot tub almost every evening to watch the sunset which were amazing. The amenities were outstanding which included use of the pontoon boat. There are also a few trails that you can walk to without having to get into your car. Our favorite was the Trout Trail that took you to the Boy Scout bay area. Lake Placid was about 2 hours away so we took a day trip to there. Beautiful scenery. Overall, we felt at home during our stay and loved the area. So peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend."
"Property was even better than expected! Exactly what my family was hoping for. We had a great time fishing, boating and relaxing by the fire, with an amazing view. Property was clean and had the all the necessities we needed. Owners were kind and accommodating. We will be booking again for next year! "
"Wonderful camp on Star Lake. The camp/house has plenty of room and all the amenities that you will ever need. The decor is perfect. The grandkids had a blast playing on the sandbar and exploring the lake on the kayaks. The hosts were super and responded to my inquire immediately. An incredible, unforgettable family vacation with our kids, grandkids and sister from Florida!! Thank you! "
Lakeside Cottage near Adirondacks, Hot Tub, Pontoon Boat, Kayaks & Paddle Board
10/10 Excellent
"This is a very nice property with more positives than negatives.I'll put the negatives first: No curtains on windows other than in the bedrooms/bathroom. This one seems kind of odd, but there is no way to cover the windows in the kitchen, dining room, or living room (which faces the lake). This combined with slightly close neighbors means that the lights they leave on or conversations can be seen and heard. I could not get the side door to lock. The only other part that can be considered a negative is that the walk to the dock has roots around the area that are uneven. There is a handle bar to assist when walking up and down to help maintain balance. Now the positives: Incredibly well furnished, all knives, cutlery, pots, pans, trays, cutting boards were well kept. The coaches recline and are comfortable. The dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer all worked well. The fire pit is at a good location with plentiful firewood. The gas grill worked great. The hot tub is large with strong jets and fireflies come out at night. The mosquitos were only active on one of the four nights I stayed. The lake is very beautiful and worth exploring and admiring. There's a lot of small wildlife around like chipmunks, robins, red squirrels, a cat, and countless unique birds singing and living around the lake. We put up a hammock and the days couldn't be more relaxing. "
