Loved the proximity to the river. Perfect to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view or walk beside the river. Lots of restaurants and services a short drive away. Close to the beautiful Gatineau park. A short drive to downtown Ottawa and the sights and museums. The suite is spacious well kept and has everything you need. Stephen was an excellent host.

Steve the host was very accommodating!I really appreciated him getting us a high chair for my visiting grandson:)He was very helpful when we had questions about the apartment.The balcony had a beautiful view..saw some lovely sunsets and sunrises:)We had a few issues with the tv but a new battery in remote resolved the issue.We would definitely book this apartment again!

Lovely apartment, very spacious, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and ample off-street parking to the rear. Best of all was the balcony overlooking the most amazing view across the Ottawa River. The location is excellent, peaceful with a rural feel yet 10 minutes drive to central Ottawa. Great artisinal bistro 7 minutes walk away. Host Stephen was very welcoming and communication was always prompt and helpful. We would happily return any time.

Gatineau on the River

Property was well furnished, comfortable and clean. The porch was great to hang out on. Location was perfect for our trip, we went into Ottawa /Parliament Hill one day and went to Gatineau Park another day—easy drive to both places. Owner was very responsive to the few questions we had.

A Place on the River

Just wanted to say that I can't think of anything I would change at this listing/house. Our stay was just terrific - the place clean, tidy, well appointed and the host was very helpful and communicative. We look forward to a return visit in the future - perhaps without the big snow storms! Great place

This unit, on the top floor at the front of a house in Gatineau was beautiful and clean. It's location was amazing. Sitting on the balcony, in comfortable sturdy chairs, watching the Ottawa river flow by was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the unit had all of the conveniences of home. Stephen had thought of everything. We were able to make a dinner for 2 other family members in the large bright kitchen. We did not try the TV. The internet was excellent. Lots of parking behind the house. Walking path/ bike path beside the river, just across the road. Restaurants a short walk up the road. Our only problem occurred Friday evening when there was loud music and shouting but it settled down and we were able to sleep. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this unit and host.
