We were able to walk to 7 museums from our location. Parking was a little like musical chairs but we usually won. It was a little cramped but I shouldn't complain because the bed was huge...Staff was helpful but sometimes a phone call was necessary.

This is not your typical B&B. It is fairly clean, and the lady showing me my room was friendly. I got my room early, so I was happy about that. The room was very plain and there are few amenities. The bed was comfortable. It was super cheap to stay there, so I got what I expected. It was fine for a night.

This is not a two star accommodation. It is more like a zero star. It appears to be a rundown rooming house that sometimes has a vacant room. The location was as advertised and I enjoyed the vibrant neighborhood. It seems to be the homeless hangout, but other than that it was pretty good. There were no covers on the electrical outlets. Missing door trim. The bathroom has the wrong kind of door knob… No privacy lock. The main door knob is reversed so the key is on the inside. Initially, I was worried that somebody could lock me in and I didn’t have the key to get out. The room key did not match this lock. The deadbolt lock worked fine and was appropriate.Holes in the wall that have been patched with a period piece of press board painted the wrong color. I rent out low income housing to welfare recipients and none of my places are even remotely as bad. There was no glass for water. There was no night table for my CPAP. The walls are acoustically very thin. I could hear the fellow beside me unrolling the toilet paper. A decent handyman can fix us all up in one day, but I noticed that they haven’t done it.

Had a great short stay here! The guest house is in a fantastic, safe neighborhood close to great spots like Bank Street and the Museum of Nature. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff was nice. Plus, free parking and free Wi-Fi in the heart of the city can't be beaten. It’s straightforward and simple, but excellent value for your money. Would stay again for a quick weekend trip.
