"Came here for my honeymoon and was not disappointed. Very beautiful views, amazingly friendly staff, relaxed environment, extremely clean. My family and I will definitely come back!!"

"We had a very nice stay However, having said that things seemed just a little "OFF'. There are no closets, just pegs to hang your clothes, the web says that they serve free breakfast but they do not, you have to dress and leave the property for breakfast as the restaurant on sight does not serve it. There is no easy chair in the room just a straight back desk chair. There is no office area to print air tickets or boarding passes and the first person behind the counter said that they couldn't do that. later another person did it for us. It is a lovely setting and Stanley at the counter at night was delightful."

"The staff was amazing, especially Destiny. She helped make sure my son got gluten-free items at breakfast and made great suggestions for other meals and activities. Breakfast is basic continental but the staff makes sure it's stocked and fresh. The room was clean and very easily accessible through the patio door straight to the parking lot. The location of the hotel was excellent. It was close to a variety of restaurants and a short drive from Helen, GA. Great mountain views from the room and the lobby. The hotel was so quiet we were able to enjoy reading on the couch and played a game in the breakfast area one evening. The bathroom could use a bit of an update. Wallpaper was coming off on a couple corners and sink could be replaced. We definitely plan to return."

Highlander Mountain House

"The Mountain House is unique. It is truly an old house that has been modified to include rooms and a restaurant. There are about 8-10 rooms in the Main House where we stayed. There is a separate building called the Bunkhouse out back. The room was clean but very small and tight. More so that I thought was possible but we got used to it. The air conditioner and TV worked well but the window shades were hard to operate. Our room had a queen-sized bed and it was nice. The biggest challenge was that there is no elevator so one has to walk up steep stairs carrying your own luggage to get to your room. Fortunately, Sarah was there when we arrived and she helped. But the hotel really does need to have a strong person on duty at arrival time and departure time to carry luggage to the room. We had to make two trips up and down the stairs. The parking is scarce. Only a few spots out back. On one occasion we had to park out on the street. There is no breakfast served during the week but they do make available coffee and banana bread. The staff, especially Sarah, was very helpful. The house is just across the street from all the shops on Main Street so the location is great. That is one reason we chose to stay there. Now that I know the details of the facility I would plan my luggage more carefully if I stayed there again. We did not have a chance to try out the restaurant."

Microtel Inn by Wyndham Franklin

"The staff was pleasant, the breakfast was cereal, boiled eggs, sausage sandwiches, cereal and waffles. No pool or hot tub. There is no fridge or microwave in the single queen rooms. Website says available upon request, which is false. The only option was to upgrade at $15 more per day to have a room wirh fridge and microwave. Otherwise, rooms were clean, I would stay again."

"We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of downtown Clayton, making it convenient to explore the shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The property was very clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly quiet, providing a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The combination of a great location, cleanliness, and peaceful surroundings made for an enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again."
