"We had a wonderful 8-day stay at The Red Fern Hotel in Ottumwa, IA, and overall, it was a great experience! The home was exactly as described—cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a perfect home base for exploring the area. Located on the south side of Ottumwa, it offered easy access to the entire town, which was super convenient.The only hiccup was the washing machine, which wasn’t working during our stay. We had to make a few trips to the laundromat, but the owners were proactive, keeping us updated on the repair status, which we appreciated. Other than that, everything was spot-on. We only needed to pick up some basic commodities for our stay, and we decided to purchase a few board games to enjoy during our downtime, which we’re happy to leave behind for future guests to enjoy.We’d definitely recommend The Red Fern Hotel for anyone visiting Ottumwa—great location, comfy vibes, and responsive owners!"
