Fairly good for Ouaga

The service was surprisingly efficient. The gym is quite basic but the swimming pool is one of the biggest seen in a hotel in Africa. Rooms are quite basic. Restaurant is not great but their are a couple of good/very good ones in the neighbourhoud.

First time in Burkina Faso

It was fine. The hotel was relatively clean, AC was great, internet connection was strong, and the pool was perfect. My only concern was that the hotel was so pricey for every thing, room, food, and drinks.

Colaboradores do hotel simpáticos, quartos pequenos mas limpos. O pavimento é em cerâmico o que dá uma visão de maior higiene. Com acesso à internet gratuito mas nem sempre com sinal forte de captação. Música no final do dia junto à piscina, bastante agradável depois de um dia de trabalho.

After reading some reviews I was expecting a lot worse. I think some peoples expectations are too high for this region. Basically it was not as good as I had hoped but better than I expected. My only advise would be to eat out to avoid being disappointed.

für Burkina Faso normal !

Preis -Leistung stimmt auf keinen Fall! 4 Sterne Hotel? In der Schweiz würde es sicher nicht einmal einen Stern bekommen, aber das ist eben Afrika! Das Bett war sehr sauber, das Personal freundlich, sehr ruhig in der Nacht, Klima funktionierte auch. Ueber 150 Euro für eine Nacht, wo das Personal im Monat nicht einmal 80 Euro verdient? Da stimmt die Realisation sicher nicht! Gehen Sie einmal in ein 4 Sterne Hotel in der Schweiz, diese Sterne in der Schweiz kannst Du Dir nicht selber erteilen, die werden Dir erteilt wenn sie gerechtfertigt sind !

Over-priced food, inflexible front desk accountant

The food was way too expensive! A bottle of Coca Cola in the bar or in the restaurant worked out to $5.00 USD each. Breakfast was a buffet, and it cost $20.00 USD, which consisted of eggs (any style), two kinds of sausges (that were of questionable quality, IF there were any available at all...what kind of animal did they come from???), bread, cheeses and sliced meat (kind of dried out) corn flakes and coffee. The portions served at dinner were very small (i.e. chicken, fish, stead, etc.) and the price was very high. Meals could not be paid individually with a credit card, but had to be billed to the room. After checking out, I ate a $15.00 USD lunch in the restaurant, and they wouldn't accept a credit card in the restaurant or at the front desk; they wanted cash only (for meals under $20.00). Even though I stayed there 1 week and paid $1,300 in room charges and meals, they still weren't willing to charge my $15.00 lunch bill to my credit card and insisted on cash (with the explanation that they would have to pay something out of pocket to the bank on a charge less than $20, even though they made a profit of at least $4 USD on each Coca Cola they sold me). I won't be coming back here after that inflexibility.
