8 members of my family (ages 3-81) stayed here to unwind after our daughter's wedding in Belgium. It was just what we needed! We intended to see the Keukenhof Gardens, but they were sold out for the day. Nobody was disappointed because saw the tulips from the car, and we all loved just being at the house! American VRBO website is a little misleading ... the sauna and hot-tub is NOT included, but I highly recommend adding them to your reservation if the weather is cool. Also, we rented a canoe for the day and paddled around the canals -- definitely worth the €25. There's a bedroom on the main floor which was good for Grandma. The steps to the other bedrooms would have been difficult for Grandma and were hard for the 3-year old. Overall, a fantastic trip in a wonderful place!

Great Home for a Week with Friends/Family
This home was perfect for our group of seven, which included four children age 10 and under. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and the living room and backyard were spacious places to gather. We enjoyed being in the quiet countryside with views of windmills, canals and sheep, and were surprised at how easy it was to visit various towns/cities via car or train from Leiden. Alex was easy to communicate with and always available to answer questions—we very much appreciated his hospitality. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend this home to others looking for a similar experience!

Ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen. Die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich gut. Vom Eiswürfelmacher im Kühlschrank bis zur Whirlpoolbadewanne im Bad, es ist alles da. Das Einzige was nicht vorhanden ist ist eine normale Kaffeemaschine. Dafür gibt es aber eine Senseo und! eine Dolce Gusto Maschine, für den Koffeinschub ist also gesorgt. Der Empfang durch Alex war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Das Haus liegt etwas ab vom Schuss, die Anfahrt war besonders bei Gegenverkehr etwas abenteuerlich, aber alles in allem hatten wir ein tolles Wochenende und würden das Haus immer wieder buchen.

Alex is super nice. The house is too and so is the garden. A few minor drawbacks: the stairs are pretty dangerous for elder people, the is a rather loud constant noise in one of the bedrooms.

Von A bis Z einfach nur perfekt! Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und das Haus wie beschrieben. Der Garten ist zudem großartig und die Umgebung wunderschön. Jederzeit wieder!
