Very nice place with a stunning view. We got even a vegetarian dinner. An improvement could be mosquito net at the windows to avoid insects in the room.

Stunning vista in the middle of the Portuguese countryside, featuring an infinity pool, with lots of space. It is in a very remote area with no public services, facilities or buildings for miles. Classy decor and staff and great value for money. The staff are just wonderful, so delightfully friendly and warm

This property is a little oasis hidden away. While a bit tricky to get to as you have to drive on unpaved roads, it's worth it once you get there. The room had everything we needed, and the breakfast was wonderful and included local products. The location is quite rural, however, the closest town (Ourique) was only a 15 minute drive away. It's not a big town by any means, but there were a few restaurant options and a Pingo Doce and an Aldi for groceries. The only thing preventing this from being a 5 star stay was the atmosphere during our stay due to other guests. There happened to be a large family who booked during the same time as us and they completely took over the pool area. As the location is in such a quiet area and there isn't a ton to do, we were looking forward to sitting by the beautiful pool and relaxing in the afternoon. That was tainted by children screaming and jumping into the pool, in addition to them bringing a speaker and playing loud music for hours. They were having a good time and the property is family friendly so perhaps our fault for not inquiring, but if you're looking for a quiet getaway, this may not be the place to book. While it wasn't the stay we were hoping for, the staff and accommodation itself was wonderful.

Great if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing place. Beautiful property with a pool. No restaurant on site but snacks and drinks are available. Also there are a few small towns near by with places to eat. Just a short stay to do some birding.

Tranquility place

We were delighted with our stay. The accommodation (which are small, cute houses) need a little improvements. But the location! I have to admit, this is the most authentic and peaceful place I've ever been to. It's the place of serenity with abundance of being close to the nature. Stunning views with opportunity for lots of outdoor activities!

Great stay away. Beautiful landscape and enjoyable pool. Limited services for dinner (basic cooking utensils were available, but shopping is quite far so you should bring food supplies in advance). Beautiful place to watch stars and good internet service. Simple but high quality breakfast with local products. As with any other nature stay, recommend to bring insect repellent.

Beautiful oasis in the heart of the Alentejo countryside with a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the hills. Nice room, very cozy. Unpaved road leading to the resort which is manageable for the experienced driver. Much of the estate is still under construction. Fun hiking trail that was difficult to access. Property offers free use of their bikes, however all the tires need to be filled. Had an excellent meal a short drive away in Orique. Recommend this to adventure and nature lovers who want to feed the conquistador within.

Not sure where to begin, however this is now a special place to me and my partner. We visited 2 years ago - absolutely loved everything about it and during this visit I proposed to her here. The place itself is like a small villa and the location is fairly remote, be aware the drive up to get to this property isn’t for the feint of heart… especially with a rental car. It definitely adds to the experience of being remote but take your time and it’s not too bad. The room is spacious and the bathrooms are very nice. The showers have rainfall shower heads and there is a window right beside the shower - if you get lucky (rooms 5/6/7/8) they face west, so you can shower as the sun sets beside you. Each room is equipped with an air conditioning unit, so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Beds are comfy, pillows are soft, nothing to worry about with comfort. The pool and outdoor spaces are what makes this place unique. The infinity pool is amazing and there are plenty of loungers and umbrellas for all. The hike that you can go on is awesome, bring some water and you’ll be fine. It takes you to a very quiet and remote part of a river with the option to kayak/canoe (you have to ask and pay first though). The staff during my stay were all very lovely but there was one in particular that went above and beyond. I forget his name (sorry!) however he was there the entire time we were there and was always smiling and ensured we had everything. Thank you!

Beautiful tranquil location. No food after 4pm, not even a bowl of peanuts, so we had to drive to town to get food!

Fantastic place for a beautiful stay near Castro da Cola. The view over the estate and the infinity pool are gorgeous. There is an amazing trail of 5km from the Monte, which is all signed and really worth doing. The breakfast is regional and very good. The rooms are lovely, very clean and comfortable. You can take a quick 15min drive to the nearest town called Ourique where You can find same nice views and food is also amazing. Absolutely worth a drive, we will definitely return to Monte do Alento.

Carregar Energias
