"Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Perfect for couples as a getaway with easy access to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Buttermere in just over and hour and a lovely pub with good food a 2 min walk away. "

"A really comfortable and charming property. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was also good (even for me with a bad back). The location is superb - in a quiet valley, an easy walk to Bolton castle and just a stroll to Aysgarth waterfalls. As a map will show, really close to Wensley and Leyburn with nice pubs. Juliet and David were very friendly hosts (as were the sheep)."

"The property has been beautifully furnished and is very charming. It’s handy for the town centre and the Brewery Arts Centre. We’d recommend the Moon restaurant and The Fell bar on Lowther Street. Parking is not convenient or available and we were disappointed that the parking permit we were promised was not available when we arrived. "Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

"Dent is a very lovely village and there are plenty of walks from there in the beautiful surroundings. It’s a comfy modernised cottage that had everything needed for a week’s stay."

"Incredible location for walking and enjoying swaledale. House is comfortable and well provisioned, fantastic host. Whole place could do with a deep clean though and the mattress is knackered 😂 We had a great time"
