"This was our third stay at this gorgeous cottage. We loved how close in proximity it is to all the main attractions but also how quiet it is. The cottage is cosy and the fire was lovely for colder days. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"The property has been beautifully furnished and is very charming. It’s handy for the town centre and the Brewery Arts Centre. We’d recommend the Moon restaurant and The Fell bar on Lowther Street. Parking is not convenient or available and we were disappointed that the parking permit we were promised was not available when we arrived. We had to park in a town centre car park and buy a 3 day ticket. Although the property was well equipped especially with books! (The reading corner is amazing), we...

"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...
