"Accommodation is excellent, lovely to be met by the host who did an essential shop for us as we were arriving late. Airy rooms with air conditioning. The pool is great for a dip after a day sightseeing in Porto. The steps into the pool were very slippery and wobbly so care is needed entering and exiting the pool. It would benefit from a couple more sun loungers as there were only two. We did struggle to sleep as the neighbouring dogs barked through the night. Ubers are a great way of getting...

"The house is beautiful and wonderfully appointed - even better than the pictures would have you believe. Location is fantastic - minutes from downtown Aveiro, two big supermarkets and the beaches, but still in a residential neighborhood. Our host Adelaide was so friendly and helpful and made the stay that much better. 10/10 - would definitely recommend."

"Nice property and host. Very responsive and friendly. We are a group 11 of three families and everybody loved the holiday. Supermarkets and nice restaurant can be reached by walking. Plenty activities to keep kids busy. You do need to have your own transport for accessing Porto. Thanks for hosting us."

"We stayed for five days in October; the apartment had lots of space for the five of us. It is located close to the water and restaurants. The unit and the neighbourhood were both quiet. It’s easy to get downtown by bus,tram or Uber. The owner and management company were quick to respond to any questions that we had. "Licinia and her husband were wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and resolving any issues promptly. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house."

"Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward."

"This really is a beautiiful villa.....so spacious, lots to do and very well equipped. We enjoyed the tennis court, pool, billiards and gorgeous setting. Comfortable beds! Mario was great as a host, could not have asked for more - very responsive, flexible, caring and just at the end of what'sapp on the couple of times needed. We hired a car to give us some extra flexibility which worked for us but it is really easy and cheap to pick up ubers locally and from Porto back to the villa. As said in...

"This is a very well equipped villa in a lovely location overlooking the lagoon. The village of Torreira a few minutes away is a gem. A pretty little town with old buildings lining the pedestrianised main street at one end and a harbour with brightly painted traditional fishing boats at the other end. The villa has a good heated pool and two comfortable lounges, one of which overlooks the lagoon. The garden is secluded and a nice place to relax. The nearby road is only really noisy on Sundays...

"We loved our time spent at Carmo’s home in Aveiro. She was very thoughtful, and left some local treats and beautiful sunflowers for our enjoyment. Our infant also slept very well in the provided crib, which is quite a feat! The house is just a quick walk to the city center, and we were also able to enjoy Costa Nova and Coimbra while there as well! "What an amazing stay! Our party of 9 had a wonderful time at the Stone House - and didn't want to leave. Our only regret was not visiting when the pool was open in summer - so we'll have to go back! The host and housekeeper were so accommodating, friendly, and gracious. The house was immaculately clean, and so very beautiful. Being only 25 minutes from Porto, 30 minutes from the beach and an hour from wineries, we thoroughly enjoyed the location as well. I highly recommend a stay at this...
