Mare Fen Local nature reserve managed by the local wildlife trust and Cambridgeshire County Council. The reserve is closed in winter (1st January-30th April) to prevent disturbance, but the wildlife on the flooded meadows can be watched from the road. It is grazed by cattle in the summer.

Over churchyard The churchyard has quite a lot of fairly recent graves. The cemetery up the road, of some age, was probably for non-conformists rather than an overspill from necessity. Over and the adjoining village of Swavesey had an amazing number of chapels for such small villages, and a fewer number are still well attended.
