"This was my first experience at at ryokan, and the inn is one I would gladly visit again. Great staff, comfortable beddings, fantastic exteriors, and amazing spa facilities (both public and private). It's a bit of a walk from the main town, though."

"I love the traditional tatami rooms here. The ‘Bekkan’ is an annex and based in an older building that is charmingly done. It has its own baths, but you have access to the bigger and outdoor baths at the main building a block away. We hadn’t ticked the dinner box when reserving. Dining options in this town may be somewhat limited as most onsen inns serve meals inside. The restaurants fill up. We ordered the dinner when we arrived. It is a bit pricey, but is a all you can eat buffet with...

"30年程前に山みず木に宿泊、別邸の深山山荘は初めて　夕飯時に同日の宿泊者が多かった事がわかってビックリしたほど、とても静かで隣接の音も全く聞こえずゆっくり部屋や大浴場も楽しめた部屋風呂と川沿いの庭も素晴らしい、部屋も広く快適に過ごせた夕食は口コミ等、あまり表記も少なかったので期待せずに伺いましたが、味、内容の配慮、量、全てに大満足でした "

"Every moment here was perfect. The service of the staff was very friendly and the food reflected the characteristics of the region very well. The inn with history and depth was well felt everywhere.
