Such a chill & comfortable environment!! Ridiculously close to the beach where there are, what appeared to be, a great spot to catch some waves. There are surf & boogie boards to rent in house! Loved that they have staff at the front desk at all times to monitor those coming in. Even with door code that's changed daily it's nice knowing random peeps couldn't just come in with guests. This is my very first time staying at a Hostel so I was very apprehended and nervous being a female traveler by myself! The place is located not far from downtown. It’s accessible to everything. I was a little....well a lot nervous and scared! Lol I did not sleep the first night having a big amount of anxiety! But it was quite clean the staff were super nice and comforting! The bedrooms on the back side of the building you can’t hear the trains. The one on the side and front you can. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise, great peace to stay, clean, great price, comfy.

The hostel was clean and the staff were friendly. We had a private room that offered many amenities most hostels don’t such as a TV, fridge and sink in the room. The bathrooms and showers were also private stalls which was nice. It is a bit hard to find as it is above a taco shop so we did have to look around for the door but all good once found. It also has a security lock as well. One block from the boardwalk/beach and there is a big free parking lot down the street if you can’t find street...

The staff overall was very friendly. The property was fixed up nicely, good secure lockers, and fun things to do in Hilo. The free tours were a great surprise. I enjoyed the Kona Beach day, Green Sand Beach hike and the chasing waterfalls (twice). Cool people from around the world... Very Spective Earthian!

Clean, quiet, and my bunk mates are courteous and friendly! It’s nice to meet people from different parts of the world. The location is great! Walking distance to many things. My first experience in a hostel! Will do it again!

Always a friendly staff. Very clean. As a single female I always feel safe staying there.

The only thing I didn’t like was the rooster who started at about 2:30 a.m. and went on through after sunrise!

Very pleasant experience

The property is a little outdated. The smell of it was definitely old ocean sea water as you enter. The kitchen and common area is also outdated but for the overall price it was well worth it. We had gotten the comfort room and it was on the opposite side of where all the pubs are so it was quiet and we slept through the night. The view of our room was awesome. Samesun is a great place to stay! Very clean, staff is helpful and courteous, feels safe and really nice that they have off-street parking. Amenities are limited as expected, but if you're cool with just the basics you'll have a great stay :)

It's close to the train station, the Capitol building and the old preserved part of Sacramento on the river.

Staying in a hostel was on my bucket list and at 55, I finally checked it off. This is a really nice place. I stayed here twice this week. Breakfast was even really fresh... The outdoor area cannot be beat! I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else when I visit my son in San Diego.

It’s exactly what you’re hoping for. A weird hostel that feels like if a vampire that was super into cats set it up. Plus it was super clean. I love it and will be back! Only con is parking is a little difficult but there are many options a block or two away

This hostel has been completely refurbished. Very nice interiors (3 floors), full kitchen, dining area with flat screen TV, free coffee and WiFi, ideal location in the heart of the Gaslamp District of San Diego, helpful staff.
