"For a hostel, it was definitely one of the better ones...we had a private room and it was clean and comfortable. A big plus is that they have a good amount of restrooms/showers on each floor/hall, so you never had to wait long. Great dining area. Convenient to everything downtown. So it was actually very good for a hostel, I don't have any criticism of the hostel itself, I just didn't like being in downtown san diego....parking is an issue if you have a car, expect to pay $20 for overnight...
