"This place is lovely. It is part of the Alexander’s lodge, just 1 mile away from Ashfords’s Mt. Rainier National Park entrance. A perfect location, if you want to explore the park. We enjoyed learning about the history of the lodge from the info material in the cabin. The only trouble we had was finding the place, as the Vrbo listing didn’t have a house number and it was impossible to communicate with the owners as we were searching along the road in Ashford (no reception). "The property is great and exactly as described in the listing. It is 45 minutes to Rainier but you don’t have closer options nearly as nice. There’s not many places to eat in town that appealed to us so we cooked out often on the nice grill provided. Sitting on the deck before or after a long day of hiking and hearing Butter Creek cascading in the rocks below the yard is particularly nice. One night three female elk splashed across the stream."
