"Historical hotel in the heart of Santiago de Compostela, just a block away from the cathedral. It feels like you are using a (well-kept and comfortable) museum as lodging. The Comedor Monumental was exactly that, monumental and artsy. Fresh and varied breakfast, included in the price. Staff very courteous and accommodating. Excellent and memorable hotel! "

"We finished walking The Camino in Santiago and decided to treat ourselves to a night at this Parador, It was a great call! The hotel is magnificent. Fabulous location. Great staff. Room was just perfect (and it had a bath which was heaven after walking 23km!). Bed was wonderfully comfortable. We had supper in the hotel restaurant which was a delight and well priced. The hotel is the most amazing building and you could spend hours just wandering around it, admiring the architecture. Breakfast in the morning was also really good. The only complaint - we kept getting lost as its a maze and there were some renovations going on. Overall a fabulous stay and we wish we had stayed two nights rather than just the one!"
