"Edwardian splendour Balcony needs attention and really good bathroom products are difficult to use in the shower as they don’t dispense properly which is a shame Would stay again as it’s a hotel with great character "

"We found the staff welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable with everything one would need for a short stay. The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. We were only able to fit in one evening meal and we went for the specials choosing fish for both starter (trout paté) and for mains – as we were near the sea, we decided on ‘catch of the day’ which turned out to be sea bass. "Greeting by staff was a bit muddled as one person started, and one person interupted. Room was okay, view onto green, but was above doorway into pub where people came outside to smoke. Bed was a short double so my feet stuck out of end of bed (I am not over 6 feet in height). Steep stairs to rooms."

"We felt very welcome at the Hampshire Hog from the moment we walked through the door. The staff were friendly and efficient and not only seemed to really care about guests but also about each other - they appeared to have the right sort of rapport with each other, making everything run very smoothly."

"The hotel had lovely features and warm friendly staff food looked lovely.. didnt have a meal through visiting family so had food elsewhere... did have a few pints in the evening great choices of drinks and the staff were lovely.. stayed in single room which was immaculate a huge beer gardenwith loads of seating. didnt have breakfast as left early to get back to wales... overall the hotel was great and.would definitely use this hotel again.. its a credit to to you and set in a lovely little...

"The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."

"Stayed in room 4 this time, accessed on the ground floor off of the front patio. Everything nice and clean, plenty of tea and coffee, hot chocolate and horlicks and bottled water. We stayed for dinner, but while it was a long wait, it was well worth it as it was delicious. Room 4 had twin beds, and the only problem I had was the mattress wasn't comfortable for me as I struggle with back problems. My husband, however, had no problems with the bed. We have stayed before, and will stay again. "
