Unwind in Pahoa at this tranquil cabin. Nestled in trees and nature, but only 10 minutes from the warm black sand beaches, the turtles love too, make this the perfect spot! The Best of both worlds only 10 minutes apart and down a convenient paved road, on the upper side of the property. This amazing property offers a cozy tiny cabin, beach vibe with an open living area that homes a futon/ couch/ bed for two as well as a loft above it that sleeps another 2. An outside office room homes another small bed for 1-2 as well. Guests can relax in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy the convenience of WiFi, or just peaceful silence and the sounds of nature. Escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in this off-the-grid, NEW cabin. Enjoy your time in Pahoa at our cabin. We are sure you will LOVE it as much as we do!

  • In 1790 a swift moving lava flow leveled the forest here and drained away, leaving behind a new forest of "lava trees". These hollow rock columns were formed when the lava wrapped around the cool tree trunks and quickly solidified. When the molten lava drained away, these rock columns were left standing. The columns are hollow because the tree trunks themselves were incinerated during the process, but only after the rock had cooled enough to hold it's shape. If you look closely, you can sometimes see the texture of the tree bark in the rock molds.
