"The hotel is in the perfect position just down from the wharf. It has plenty of parking. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little old but absolutely clean, the beds are plush with plenty of pillows and doonas. The bathroom is well equipped and clean with a shower only. There was a bit of noise in the hallways at night so sound does carry, but not the hotel's fault. Would def recommend this hotel to others and stay here again if I was visiting the Bay of Islands. "

"We based ourselves here for 6 nights with our UK whanau, their 1sr trip to the winterless North. The owner, Jimmy, was wonderful, very helpful and accomodating, upgraded us to the front rooms where we had a beautiful view of Te Ti Bay. There is so much to see and do around Paihia. we couldnt do it all, however we gave it a good go. Nearby are restaurants, Petrol station, cafe within 2 minutes walking and Woolworths supermarket 10 minutes - Waitangi Meeting Grounds, 20 minutes, Ferry to Russell or boat to the Hole in the Rock 10 minutes, plus a kids playgroung across the road - the Bay Sands Seafront Studios are a perfect launching pad for exploring Paihia and surrounds."
