The hotel’s proximity to the VIA Rail station is a big plus and very convenient for travelers. I did not try the breakfast, but I did have dinner at the hotel, and it was quite good. Overall, a nice experience and a convenient location."

"This was a last minute stay and we really loved the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The only issue was that when our room was cleaned, the cleaning staff didn’t replenish our coffee pods. We didn’t want to go downstairs to get coffee as we were exhausted coming back from my father’s funeral. This was a bit inconvenient."

"Our stay at Hotel Universal was pleasant and convenient. We were in from Calgary for the Canadian Championships for soccer and it was only a 1/2 block away. The staff were helpful and the restaurant was good food. I would recommend this hotel."
