Best place in Paje

Amazing place! This is the best place in Paje on the Beach. Lots of privacy with large rooms and bathroom. You fall asleep to the sounds of the wind in the trees and wake up to the most beatiful sea view.

Quiet and Spacious Beach Resort

Quiet and amazing place to stay. Spacious villas in the middle of mature trees and right next to the beach. The access road to the resort could use some maintenance but likely that a government problem. Will return some day.

Kivuli, the hidden gem of Paje

Travelling such lengths as Oslo - Zanzibar, you don’t want any surprises upon arrival. Thankfully, the only surprise which met me was AirFrance losing my baggage. The stay at Kivuli was far better than I dared to imagine, and I loved every second there. From the helpful and nice presence of the GM Jon, to the humble and brilliant owner, Abeid, they made the vibe feel nothing less of home. I travelled with friends, but we all stayed in different locations in Paje, and we all agreed that I won regarding accommodations. Kivuli was by far the best. I even checked out from a villa earlier during my stay in another area in Paje, just to get another day at Kivuli. Amazing location, people and food. Best place in Paje, without a doubt. I will be back, hopefully in December. Thank you for making my Zanzibar experience, Kivuli❤️

We stayed 4 nights. We did not have any toiletries in our room until the last night we were there. Our room felt like it was actually cleaned. The resort has potential to be a really great resort. Management of it really lacks. We had one outside light out of a possible 3. Lights burnt out inside the room. It could use proper management.

This property was absolutely magical. If you’re looking for a low key off the grid vibe, this is the place. There’s no Wi-Fi in the room but it’s available in the common area overlooking the beach. However, the level of privacy you’ll receive in your individual room is worth it.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wurde immer frisch zubereitet. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet jedoch könnte es etwas sauberer sein. Zudem muss der Garten mal wieder gepflegt werden.

Idyll zwischen Natur und Party.

Regenzeit auf Zanzibar. Wunderbar. Nur wenige Touristen, leere Strände und super entspannte Menschen. Dazu das beste Hotel in ganz Paje mit toller Location und erstklassigem Service. Familiäre Atmosphäre inmitten der Natur. Strandbar, ausreichend Schatten, tolle Getränke. Immer wieder gerne.

Wir reisen seit über zehn Jahren regelmäßig nach Sansibar und haben viele Unterkünfte erlebt – leider konnte das Kivuli in der Kategorie „Luxury Family Villa“ unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllen. Die Villa befindet sich trotz ihres jungen Alters in einem schlechten baulichen Zustand, die Privatsphäre ist eingeschränkt, und es gibt viele Zusatzkosten, die bei diesem Preisniveau (über 350 USD pro Nacht) überraschen – darunter sogar Wasser. Das Personal ist zwar sehr freundlich, aber oft unpünktlich, und die ausschließliche Nutzung von Außenduschen war für uns eher unangenehm. Insgesamt bietet Kivuli zu wenig für den Preis, weshalb wir vermutlich nicht wiederkommen werden.

Absolut tolle Unterkunft. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit hier. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft einem egal um was es geht. Die Lage ist perfekt, angenehm und ruhig, man ist jedoch in wenigen Gehminuten im Getümmel. Das Essen und die Drinks sind super lecker. Bei der Unterkunft hat es direkt eine Kite Schule (Pro Sele) welche auch sehr zu Empfehlen ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
