"For a cheap hostel in Luang Prabang, this was great. I loved that everything was in good walking distance such as the Phosi Hill and the night market, However, some things to consider, this hostel didn't have much in the way of security. We weren't given any key to the front door or room meaning everything was open and anyone could walk in at any time. Also keep in mind that there are no lockers in the room, on top of this the showers and toilets were not very clean, all for £5 a night you can't...

"Went to stay at Mad Monkey for 3 days in the shared dorm for the doublebed room for couples. It was some lovely people and very helpful staf. It has happy hour for 4 hours a day, you get a free drink when arriving and they have aircon in the rooms. The rooms are still warm but feel quite private. We enojyed the pool area, especially at night where you could look at the stars and swim around before going to bed. Bathrooms and showers are shared and looks nice. "The hostel initially had trouble finding my booking but after that it was fantastic. I had a really nice room, the hostel was very clean, there was a good atmosphere and the staff were really helpful with recommendations and booking tours and tickets."
