"Pictures do not do this home justice. It had everything we needed and then some! The kitchen is small but who cooks on vacation. There are plenty of great restaurants including Fish Camp and Valley Smoke nearby. There is a great grill on the patio which we used on Memorial Day. Everything was fantastic and we plan to return next year hopefully for at least 2 weeks. Thank you Maxine!"

"The location was beyond expectations. We were there for Memorial Day week and there were never more than fifty people within eyesight up and down the beach. Many times there were no people within eyesight. The house is literally ten steps from the beach. The only negative is that the house was not clean. Granted I am a type a person, but when my type b teenage daughter says it’s not clean then it needs a deep clean. The homeowner went above and beyond to make our stay nice. He checked on us to make sure we got there and during our stay. He also had the house stocked with all of the basics, like paper products, body soap, clothes soap, cleaning products. Overall this was one of our families best trips!"

"Upon entering the Tipsy Turtle, we were instantly relaxed and at peace. The owner thought of every single thing you can imagine! The kitchen is totally stocked, there are two sets of washers and dryers, tons of bath towels, and plenty of beach chairs, toys, towels, etc. There are multiple outdoor areas in which to relax and enjoy the ocean views/smells/sounds. We enjoyed the multiple outdoor dining areas, some in the sun, some completely shaded under cover! We will definitely return to this magical place. Literally steps to the beach from the decking & stairs. Amazing!"

"A group of friends and I spent almost 2 weeks in this beautiful home in May 2024. We had an unexpected problem with our original rental and were so thankful that these hosts were able to accommodate our large group on very short notice. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful and went above and beyond to make our vacation as good as it could be! The house was very spacious and comfortable. There was a large common area where we all could gather and lots of private space for alone time. The kitchen was chef’s quality and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and we all went home well rested. There was also a great laundry room which had everything we needed. The outdoor space was beautiful, with a great saltwater pool and a screened eating area. The house is situated on a beautiful river with lots of boating activity to keep us entertained. All of the conveniences are located close by and downtown St. Augustine is approximately 10 minutes away. We are so thankful to Melissa and Jason for everything they did to make us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this property."

"We had a great time at the house. On check in we couldn't get into the house but the owner communicated with us quickly and resolved the issue. There was five of us (all adults) and my brother had the downstairs all to himself which worked out great since he had his husky with him and our fur babies were not completely introduced to her. They slowly got to know each other and became friends. The view was unbelievable. You are really there for that view. You are just steps away from the beach. We even saw dolphins. We had our fur babies and my brother who is a veteran had his husky with him and they had a great time. The house does seem smaller than the picture but it worked out seamlessly. The only thing needed is just a few more kitchen utensils for cooking and potholders. We ate out most of the time but cooked dinner one of the days. I definitely recommend this home to anyone. Not crowded at all since we went the week before Memorial day. You will have a wonderful time and of course your fur babies."

"Parking Concerns: Initially, I had concerns about parking since the listing mentioned accommodation for up to 3 cars, but we had more. I reached out a week before the trip, but it took until the arrival date to confirm the maximum of 3 cars and provide an alternative parking site. Check-In Experience: Check-in was at 4 PM, but we arrived at 5:10 PM and found the housekeeper still cleaning. The housekeeper didn't speak English, which made communication difficult. We had to wait for half an hour before we could enter. Location: The location was perfect, right on the beach, offering convenience and beautiful. Lower Level: The lower level was subpar, featuring a small bedroom with no closet and two twin beds. It also had a half bath and a laundry room. Upper Level: The upper level had three bedrooms with a full bathroom that included both a tub and a tub-less shower. The bedrooms had plenty of closet space. The linen closet was stocked with towels. Kitchen: The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and had ample pantry space. The refrigerator was a top freezer model. Condition of the Home: This is an older home with noticeable signs of wear and tear, such as walls needing paint and closet doors off their tracks. Despite these issues, it was cozy. Be mindful of the stairs if mobility is a concern. No grass for pets. Overall, this rental provided a fair and cozy stay. The big advantage was its prime location right on the beach, which made our stay very convenient. "
