Winíka Alterra is a small, family owned hotel and resort. The property consists of eleven private cabins. They’re very well maintained and with all the amenities. The staff is very helpful, accommodating, and detailed oriented. All the meals were delicious, fresh, and locally sourced-made from ingredients found at the hotel’s on site farm. (They even make their own chocolate which is used in the duck mole, desserts, or served hot). The beds and bedding are very comfortable, The quiet, jungle environment makes for a restful stay. Our only suggestion would be to invest in entertainment options during rainy days, such as a ping pong table, card games, or family friendly board games.

Están muy bonitas las cabañas, y la atencion del personal y los dueños excelente. El único detalle es la entrada al lugar que es de terrazeria, y es un buen tramo, si traes carro bajito podrías batallar al entrar sobre todo si esta lloviendo.

Sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, allerdings von der Ausstattung ist fast nichts im Zimmer, zB keine Gläser oder Föhn. Man bekommt alles auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption. Der Weg von der Hauptstraße zur Anlage ist eine Katastrophe, sehr schlechter Weg!

Super séjour

Nous étions vraiment ravis d'avoir choisi le Winika Alterra. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la localisation—à côté de la route principale, mais néanmoins très tranquille... et un peu en retrait du site archéologique de Palenque. Nous avions vraiment l'impression d'être en pleine nature et coupés du monde. Certains clients ont émis quelques réticences par rapport à la route d'accès, mais nous ne l'avons trouvé pas très compliqué à négocier (cependant, je ne sais pas ce que ça donne en temps de pluie). Sinon, les bungalows sont très spacieux et propres, avec une très bonne climatisation. Le personnel est absolument adorable. Ils étaient vraiment aux petits soins avec nous et la nourriture au restaurant est assez bonne. Nous avons aussi profité de la piscine — vraiment top, étant donné qu'il a fait très chaud et humide lors de notre séjour à Palenque. Pour se rendre sur le site archéologique, nous avions déjà réservé un chauffeur par le biais de notre hôtel à San Cristobal de las Casas, mais nous avons vu des taxis à Winika Alterra. Du coup, j'imagine qu'il est assez facile de les commander.

Um oásis em Palenque! Refeições maravilhosas e a preço justo. Quartos amplos e confortáveis. Ótima localização para visitar as ruínas de Palenque. Staff extremamente gentil e atencioso. Excelente experiência!

Villas individuelles et proches de la nature.

Winika est plus qu’un hôtel c’est un état d’esprit, mêlant des prestations de grand confort et la protection de l’environnement. Les villas en bois décorées avec goût, la piscine écologique et le restaurant excellent nous ont enthousiasmés. Le personnel est très attentionné et les patrons sont adorables. A réserver d’urgence avant qu’il n’apparaisse dans tous les guides.

Little paradise

Winíka Alterra is a wonderful place to stay, lovely bungalows in tropical surroundings. Our children adored the ecological pool. The service is excellent (welcome drink, sofa bed prepared, towels and service at the pool, etc). The restaurant serves good food, with a nice view! The access road is very bumpy and rocky, but once you are there, it's like paradise! We stayed for 2 nights visiting Palenque ruins and Cascadas Roberto Barrios. We wished we booked for longer..
