This is a newly renovated property just steps from all of the major attractions of Palermo. The staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was great. The room was large and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more.

Lovely hotel, but no thank you to Palermo…

This is a lovely hotel in Palermo. But sadly, we were very underwhelmed with the gritty city of Palermo. Staying at the lovely hotel saved us. Staff was wonderful and we enjoy a dinner at their little restaurant.

Newly renovated boutique hotel on a quiet, clean and spacious square just off the main pedestrian street of Via Vittorio Emanuele. The airport bus stops on Via Roma are also just a few minutes away on foot, making its location perfect for tourists. This hotel truly deserves the boutique label – rooms are tasteful, modern and luxurious, yet manage to be warm and cosy at the same time. The bed, pillow and sheets are so comfortable that my Oura ring health-tracker reported I spent significantly more time in the deep sleep state than usual! The staff, from reception to restaurant, were stand-outs. Service was warm, personal and attentive. I booked the half-board with dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is a really good fine-dining establishment. I would suggest opting for the half-board option for at least one night to try the restaurant. All this was available for a very reasonable price, especially compared to the rest of Italy. I would return to Palazzo Cartari in Palermo a heartbeat. A true gem that is highly recommended!
