"We arrived very late but our host was still here to greet us and show us to our room. The rooms are really spacious like apartments and have everything you need. They are also extremely sound proof. Nice balcony with seating and a clothes rack. Everything is included, wifi, air conditioning, breakfast and use of pool. House keeping every day with a total refresh every third day The owner is at the property most days and comes for a chat to ensure everything is ok. Breakfast is freshly cooked everyday and there is lots of choice. The bar is open until 1am for snacks and drinks - hot and cold and they also have an ice cream bar. The hotel is ocean front and a short walk from the harbour where the locals swim, it’s absolutely beautiful. The hotel is not far from the village, bars and restaurants. The whole complex is kept stunning and they provide showers for the pool which is nice. They also allowed us to hang around for the day after we checked out for a late flight, full use of the pool etc and looked after our bags. Catherine on reception pointed us in the direction of cool amenities. They also have paddle boards for guests free of charge and you can hire electric bikes from reception."

"Had an excellent stay at the hotel. Very clean and modern. Food is excellent with a great range of choice every day and the drinks selection is great, including a good selection of wines within the all inclusive package. We spent our time at the top pool which we found very relaxed and the lunch menu was brilliant (excellent gyros) but there are 4 pools which all offer something slightly different and we were very relieved to see that sunbed hogging wasn’t an issue at this hotel with sunbeds available well into the day. The Aperol bar, daytime crepe stand and the beanbags on the shore for sunset were all great touches. If you are looking for a relaxing hotel to remain at for your stay this is perfect. Some things to note: We visited Taverna Amelia in the nearby town which was lovely (we highly recommend) but there are limited options for food if you did want to venture out of the hotel unless you hire a car, although there are some great little supermarkets. And the fitness facilities aren’t great if that’s important to you. We stayed in a basic room which was great for us, the waterfall shower was lovely and the room was cleaned daily. The rooms with private pools looked excellent for young families or for some extra privacy. Overall we would highly recommend. We read some negative reviews which worried us ahead of staying but a lot of the negative comments are completely untrue!"

"Very nice hotel. Pleasant and very helpful staff. Food was very good and service in the restaurant was very good too. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms and it was very comfortable with a large corner balcony accessible from both rooms. Rooms well cleaned daily. Although a minor issue was that we had a coffee pod machine which I thought was a bonus, but the two pods supplied, surprisingly weren't replenished. First world problems, eh!! We would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again. Pool was great, quite large - we didn't use the second smaller pool, but it looked very nice and peaceful. "

"Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location, But Some Details Let It Down We recently stayed at Castello Boutique Suites in Sissi, Crete to celebrate our anniversary, and overall, we had a very good holiday. The hotel made a wonderful gesture by upgrading us to a larger suite with a private side pool, which felt so special and really set the tone for our stay. The suite itself was stylish and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent every morning, and the staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The location couldn’t be better — just a 2-minute walk from the charming port of Sissi, with plenty of tavernas and shops nearby. That said, as this is marketed as a five-star hotel, we were a little disappointed by some details. Positives: – Thoughtful anniversary upgrade to a suite with private pool. – Beautiful, modern, and spacious room. – Fantastic location (2 minutes from Sissi port). – Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and quality. – Friendly, professional, and welcoming staff. – Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere throughout. Negatives: – Private pool jets and lights didn’t work; nothing was fixed during our stay. – Pool needed topping up and sides had algae. – No towel hooks in the bathroom; “do not disturb” system broken. – Daily housekeeping, but balcony wasn’t cleaned in 8 nights. – Cups and glasses not refreshed — had to wash them ourselves. No blinds/curtains: poolside window let in sun at 5am, back window was lit at night, affecting sleep and"
