"Wonderful property. Staff picked us up at the beach after our wet landing boat ride from Sierpe. Room #11 was perfect for an couple with an lovely patio including a hammock overlooking the river and ocean. Breakfast included with lunch and dining to purchase, all food options were very beautiful presentation, delicious and reasonably priced. Property is well kept with beautiful landscape and steps to the beach. A mile w allow into town took 30minutes or front desk can call a local taxi for $10....

"Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest...

"This is a beautiful place to stay and very relaxing. We were busy with outside activities so didn’t get to enjoy the pool like we would have liked. They have a washer and drier on site for guests to use free of charge and after traveling around the country for 2 weeks before arriving this was handy. "
