"This place is a diamond in the rough. We almost missed the turn onto the uphill, dirt road that looks like you're going the wrong way. But at the top of the hill, you'll find this beautiful property. The infinity pool and view are incredible. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. The room was very nice. Could have used a steamer or iron, and they probably could have provided if I had asked them. No TV --- but that was actually a plus because this place is meant to be a very calming get away. Drinks by the pool and dinner in the restaurant were great. If you're looking for quiet, calm, and relaxing then this is your spot."

"We loved our stay at Villa Lucia! It was in a great, safe location and close to waterfalls, shopping, and the whales tail. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the hummingbirds, toucans, and butterflies. The sunsets were amazing too! I recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the road easily."

"An idyllic getaway.The home and grounds were every bit as perfect as they look in the pictures...Secluded enough to feel as though you are away from it all, and elevated enough to have beautiful views and a nice breeze, but close enough to town and to the major thoroughfare to make trips into town and to excursions very convenient (though still take Mark's recommendation to rent a 4x4 it is very much needed in CR!)The house itself was very clean and had everything that you need - a full kitchen, air con in the bedrooms, a beautiful infinity pool that is perfect to laze around in, destress, and look out over the ocean.Mark & Allyson were the perfect hosts - provided us with a lot of helpful inside tips and were very attentive throughout the whole process.Just the perfect home in the perfect place. We're already planning our return! "

"Their romantic unit was wonderful. Beautiful tropical very private setting. A communal pool that we had all to ourselves. Its an outdoor kitchen that worked but could use a bit of an upgrade. Big fridge but only a 2 burner countertop gas hotplate. No oven or microwave. Good closet space and beautiful shower. Groceries and a very good soda was beside it. Some high end restuarants near by. Could walk but the road is very narrow and its very dark. Osa golf golf course 20 minutes away. Uvita 20 minutes away. Good road into it. I highly recommend this place ."

"We absolutely loved the eight days we spent at this incredible house. Our hosts were very welcoming and met us when we arrived. I had a few questions while we were there and got responses almost instantly.The house was spotless. There wasn't anything that we needed that they didn't have. The pool was fantastic. There wasn't a single day that we didn't swim or chill in the pool. We enjoyed seeing the toucans and other local birds that came around every morning and evening. We even had a coati come visit a couple of the days. One evening we could see howler monkeys in a tree down below the house. Not only was the house great, but the entire area was wonderful. The people were friendly and welcoming. If you're an animal lover, I suggest a tour of Hacienda Baru, which is about 20 minutes away. We used Freddy Cascante. It was our favorite activity for the two weeks we spent in Costa Rica.We wouldn't hesitate to come back to this beautiful property. It's easy to feel the pura vida spirit here."
