We stayed in the Miner’s Cabin, a “tiny house” at the very edge of the property, hoping for “dark sky” views and a desert experience. We loved it! We had everything we needed, including great AC, and convenient amenities were cleverly tucked into corners and crevices of the small building, The little porch out front was perfect for relaxing, and watching the sky, the landscape, and the little wild burros that were hanging out nearby! The on-property restaurant was excellent (we so enjoyed chatting with Dwight about his craft beer experience!). A great overnight stop for us from Death Valley on into California!

Staff is very helpful. Willing to provide direction, places to visit, and anything else a visitor might need. We have visited twice a year for the last few years. It is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Great place to recharge you batteries and relax in nature. We saw the Milky Way one night at 3:00 AM. The night sky is amazing with more stars visible that you can begin to count.

The accommodations are sparse, and the space is small, but the views outside the room were beautiful. The food was good and the beer was cold at the diner. Definitely a low key and casual vibe. This was a perfect brief stop for us.

This is the restaurant and bar. Great seating outdoors as well.

There are few choices to stay in the area. This place is definitely no frills with some rustic charm. The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was basic but adequate for a place to lay my head while visiting this beautiful area. The walls are paper thin. I could hear every word spoken from the adjoining rooms. The place is convenient in that there’s a small store and a restaurant. The food in the restaurant was very good. I liked that is a bit further from the the main congested areas of the national park.

We rented a cabin which reminded me of a tiny house! Cute and clean. It had a back porch perfect for stargazing. It was more reasonably priced than other Death Valley properties and a great jumping off point for exploring the park. If you are looking for a clean, safe, and comfortable stay without being overly expensive or fancy, this is a great choice.

Great location as a hub for a Death Valley trip, staff were super friendly, restaurant had lots of food and drink options. My only negative feedback is that the walls between the rooms are super thin, you can hear everything from your next door neighbours, maybe some sound insulation could help!
