"Don’t drink alcohol "

"The only drawback to this hotel was the $20 per day fee they charge you, so you have to “buy” a drink in their lounge to recoup that fee. I find that practice to be a cash grab, and otherwise the rating would have been a 5. We found the room to be well equipped, comfortable, beautiful and modern, and thoughtfully designed. There were plenty of outlets and ports, and the beds were more comfortable than average. Yes the rooms are small, but it didn’t matter because the space was equipped with many clever storage solutions. The shower/toilet situation is challenging, as it’s basically tucked inside the room with a sliding door and glass walls that don’t allow for much privacy. As long as you plan for that, it’s a great hotel. Location is amazing… close to the subway, restaurants, grocery stores, anything you need within a 5-10 minute walk or less. Public spaces are great too… a couple bars and restaurants right in the hotel, so we were able to wait there after checkout, until it was time for us to catch our bus home."

"If you want to stay by Madison square park and be in walking distance to Chelsea, Union square, and essentially any area, The location is amazing. Great restaurant attached (Hole In The Wall). Rooms were good, clean. We had issues with: check in process and our Expedia reservations, the key code (never worked), assistance from staff (met initially with aggressive attitudes), and accommodations of staff (not very informative or helpful)."

"As long as you’re not by the club you’re fine. The bathrooms do have mildew but they’re updated. Pool was closed which was the main reason we picked the hotel (week after Memorial Day). Staff was friendly. They do have free Citi bike passes and minibar credits. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in NYC. It’s priced correctly, spend more if you want perfection."
