"This was the nicest stay in Pangkalan Bun while waiting for my boat trip to Tanjung Puting park. The hotel was very responsive when there were problems."

"Excellent staff. Basic breakfast but it’s free. Limited options. Staff was helpful and kind all around. I don’t know what is on the second floor but furniture was always being dragged on the floor or moved at all sorts of time in the morning and night. Maybe construction? But lovely stay."

"My bag was stolen here. The front desk in morning doesn’t speak English and I truly tried to say basics like orangutans food 123 luggage storage toilet taxi and he has no answer. I even used a translator on phone. So i left my luggage in reception since he didn’t speak English and came back to it being gone. They said there was only one bag there. I showed a photo I took with both bags and I had to go to police and get a warrant to see cctv because they didn’t want to show me the footage. ...

"We expected a very basic room and something in keeping with the soundings, which is what we got. However our rooms were poorly maintained and I'd go as far to say that the bathroom was a horrible experience and didn't look like it had been cleaned - lots of hair in the plug hole, the glass shelf dirty, cobwebs throughout (I'd expect some but many looked to have been there a long time) etc. The staff however were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was decent"
