"Mirabella Eclano, about two hours east of Naples, is a very old hill town with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside of lush, green hills, vineyards and mountains, that is every bit as gorgeous as Tuscany. Situated below is the modern town, a series of small, impressive communities. For the five days I visited Mirabella Eclano, Ayma B&B was that rare near-perfect place to stay. Owner and host Alessandra was exceptionally thoughtful and kind, even reaching out to her friends before I arrived to help me connect with people I should meet while there. The B&B is new, but built on the site of a ruin, and designed by the owner to reflect how she imagined a 15th c palazzo would look, complete with four turrets. My suite of rooms was immaculate, came stocked with everything I needed, including a super-comfortable Tempurpedic bed and pillows! Alessandra’s made-to-order breakfast every morning was delicious, especially alfresco on the patio in its pretty setting. Ayma B&B is a very special place to stay. I would give it 10 stars!"

"While the evening staff was very welcoming and the room large, everything else in this hotel was extremely disappointing. The shower was tiny and the water flow was hardly a drizzle. The room was basic and the furniture - old. Breakfast was basic compared to standard Italian hotels, and most tables in the restaurant were filthy with leftovers and crumbs from previous guests. I definitely do not recommend this place. "

"Positives: service was fast and friendly. Nicola was very helpful of where to visit in LUCERA and help with luggage. Breakfast pastries were fresh and coffee great. Negatives: the location is a10 minute car ride to town and nothing is around (except unfinished building). Landscaping needs to be cleaned up to give the look from the photos. Any noise in the building is noticeable in the room, even chairs moving and low voices. I picked because of the positives reviews, which I think are out of date."

"The check in was a breeze. The breakfast was the typical breakfast in Italy with Italian cakes, cut up fruits, sliced local Kraft type cheese, yogurt, Italian croissants (home made), toast bread, and Italian cookies. The cons of the hotel: The wifi internet never worked. Actually we could never get it took to work with our cell phones. We tried on 6 different iPhones including an iPad . When asked the hotel staff to fix the wifi internet the person who worked when we were checking out said that if it is too hot the wifi internet does not work or is not reliable. Since it was hat that day the wifi internet is not reliable. The second problem was that when booking the hotel through hotels.com the hotel was indicating that a pool is available. When asked about the pool with the hotel staff on site when we checked in the staff said the pool was just for decorations for weddings. The third problem or surprise was that every time we left the hotel with our car during our stay we had to leave the hotel room keys with the front desk. This was not acceptable to me. This was never explained w hen booking the hotel through hotels.com that the hotel room key must be left at the front desk. If you want a hotel with no internet and no pool then this hotel is for you. I was looking for hotel with everything that I was promised when reserving the hotel. Upon reservation of the hotel , the hotel should have had a pool available, working internet and available, and breakfast."
