King size bed in a tent? Oh, yea, along with leather furniture, cowhide rug and romantic candles. And all, in the heart of Paonia's Wine Country. Uncredible views will greet you at sunrise. The Milky Way will put you to bed at night. A zillion stars will watch over your sleep. Night breezes will rustle the tent to remind you that nature is very close by.
A few steps away you will find an old, repurposed grain bin with two full-service bathrooms, showers included. While the decor is rustic and masculine the cleanliness is very feminine. Because the bathrooms are shared spaces, we take cleaning of the bathrooms very serious.

Tim purchased this property in 2014 and proceeded to clean it up, remodel the lodge, build the noise wall, construct the tents, build the cabins, complete the infrastructure and open it up to wonderful people. Nearly all of our guests are people who love the land, love the country, love the opportunities, love their fellow man and respect everyone they come in contact with. This place was built for you, our honored guests.
At Fort Austin you will find ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.
