"Excellent. Well appointed cabins that are perfect for a short stay if you are in between flights. They are new, very comfortable mattresses and everything you could need although very small. Comfortable for one person, probably a little cramped for 2 plus luggage.. Bathrooms good and lounge area with coffee machine 😊"

"The rooms are small... and the Mahana has place bunkers... I am in a women s one which for me... an older person is better... the beds are bunkers well built strong and with curtains of black material so each person can close it not to have light from others... also this reminds others to be kind and considerate to others... it has lockers without keys... ok each person can put things with locks in their bags... the under the bed space is tall so the suitcases fit... and each bed has a charger plug and a small light to have light in the bed... for people who have to get up at night and to leave in the dark. The bedding is neat and clean. The kitchen is huge and clean. All in light beautiful colors and art painted in the walls and decorated with apple green and white colors... very nice... toilet paper... soap in all bathrooms... I am up late and there is an attendant cleaning and doing guard in the place... i am very impressed."

"Our stay was exceptional. Worth every cent. We also knew what we were getting into… yes, an overwater bungalow does come with a cost, but it’s the experience you’re paying for. Whether it’s on your bucket list, you like to walk out your door and into the water to snorkel, the views, the privacy, it’s all worth it."

Room 1 - Bed and breakfast in an apartment, 2 min. walk from the ferry dock

"Hosts were friendly enough but the listing did not specify this was a room in a shared apartment with the owners and another room with strangers. There was a cat which was very friendly, but that should also be listed so folks know in case they are allergic. The room had some windows without any shades so the lights shined through all night and the early sun in the morning woke us up, along with the noise from outside as well as snoring through the wall from other folks also staying in the apartment. The listing says "Bed and Breakfast" in the heading, yet there was no mention of breakfast or even coffee in the morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with the owners food and dishes etc since they live there, but it was awkward to know what we could and couldn't use so we didn't use anything except the fridge. All that being said, it was a decent value for the cost and in a convenient location. I would just recommend a refresh of the listing so it's clear it's has shared space with the owners and other guests and pets."

Beautiful F4 apartment on Papeete's waterfront,

Zero communication from host and place was not available

"I booked this place in early December for our January stay. I reached out in late December with some questions but never heard from the host. Then reached out again to the host once we had arrived in Tahiti after 1/20 just to see if I could get an answer to my original questions and a few new ones. No answer. I then reached out again the day before our stay as I never received check in instructions. No answer! I then tried the DAY OF our stay. No answer via the VRBO message system nor through WhatsApp. I literally had to escalate this to calling VRBO internally! They were able to get Lela on the phone who would NOT give me check in instructions but instead insisted on picking us up from the ferry and taking us to the rental. I explained we didn’t have our tickets booked yet and didn’t have our exact ETA or what ferry we were going to use and again "
