"We weren’t sure what to expect, but it was a perfect location. The beach was really fun, clean and quiet! We had a rental car and went out exploring other beaches both north and south, but Flamingo was the best for hanging out and playing in the waves with the boogie board. Surfing at Tamarindo was fun but the beach itself was very busy. Margaritaville was an easy enough drive from the airport and the national park to go hike the waterfalls and volcano. If you drive yourself, be aware route 911 has a washout and you will have to drive through a small bit of riverbed. It sounds worse than it is, plenty of sedans made it through. It was dark when we first encountered it but once we drove it in the daylight it was no big deal. Traffic can be intense from 4-7 pm on the roads coming in and out of town. If you like setting your own schedule and exploring independently, definitely rent a car. Parking is free at Margaritaville! The staff was lovely, rooms very clean and loved being walking distance to numerous restaurants. Overall it was a great place to stay for our first trip to Costa Rica."

"The room was as described, a slight sewage smell and I wasn’t prepared for the racoons but I enjoyed my stay. The beach was nice it’s walkable to a less rocky area. The resort staff were wonderful, it’s walkable to downtown where food, beaches and shops. Jusy offers the best tours and excursions she was also very accommodating. I would go back "

"We had a lovely stay in the 2bdrm poolside - highly recommend being poolside if you can! The staff was responsive and quick to resolve a mixup at check in, which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast, which varied every morning, was fantastic. Pool was super-refreshing for a quick dip. Awesome location, easy to walk to just about anywhere. Resident kitties an added plus. "

"He had a great stay at the Seis Playas Hotel. There were 2 employees that made our stay feel more special: Tania at the front desk and a gentleman at the restaurant/bar, I believe that his name is Jesús, but I am not sure, off of the 2 employees that assisted us during our stay, he was the younger, with a small mustache. We could feel their genuine interest in us, not only as clients, but made you feel a warmth that we really enjoyed. The facilities were very clean."
