Enjoyable, Quit and Relaxing

The stay was a great experiance for my wife and I. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We only wish we could have arrived earlier and enjoyed he pool before the weather turned bad.

Excellent staff and great place to relax

This is a beautiful little spot about a 20-minute walk from downtown Paramaribo. I also stayed downtown, and can surely say I much prefer being away from the noise and crowds of the city center. Villa Famiri is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. You can also walk to downtown though it's not a nice walk (no sidewalks, lots of trash and standing water, lots of traffic). They have a lovely common area and pool so it's great for relaxing. The real gem of this place though is the staff! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, especially Lucy, Kenzo, and Delia! They really treat every guest like royalty. One day our hot water went out (fairly common in Suriname, I think) and they let me shower in one of the rooms in the adjacent building. They also helped with ordering taxis and getting me things like a hairdryer and hot water kettle. I really can't thank the staff enough!

Dommage le petit déjeuner n était pas assez copieux j ai fait une cure d omelette et toujours le même jus qui est servit au petit déjeuner A force j ai attrapé la gastro L’heure pour avoir la chambre à partir de 15 H je trouve qu’on aurait dû donner les chambre à midi vous vous tapez 6 H de route pour arriver à l hôtel et les chambres sont à partir de 15 H C est dommage

Guesthouse famiri is a no frills guesthouse. The room is shabby and rundown. However, I am quite grateful that they accept very late check-ins.
